Local Area Forums:- The next Milnrow, Newhey & Firgrove Local Area Forum will be held on Thursday 24th March 2016 from 7.00pm at Milnrow Cricket Club, Harbour Lane, Milnrow. If you have any issues or concerns please come along to air your views. You can help to make a difference in your community. Please note that dates and times of these meetings are subject to change so please do not hesitate to contact your Local Townships and Engagement Officer, Tracey Knight, for Pennines on 01706 922227, who will be able to confirm dates and times of all future Local Area Forums. Guided Walks & Tours The Syke Walk and Talk Group meet every Monday at 1.00 pm and Friday 10.00am at Syke Methodist Chapel where there will be toilet facilities and hot drinks and socialising after the walks. There are 2 levels on the walk on Monday, a high quick walk and a slower one. There are also three levels on a Friday. A high fast walk, an intermediate walk and a slower one if needed. So there is something to suit everyone and all abilities. Springhill Hospice Events Sunday 13th March – Spring Fair Enjoy a great day at the 2016 Spring Fair. Over 30 stalls including gifts, homebake, crafts, raffles and tombolas, there is something for everyone. Free entry, 10am - 3pm at Springhill Hospice 24th April – Hospice To Hospice Walk A fun and friendly 7 ¼ Mile Circular family walk 27th April – Women of Rochdale Watch as the Women of Rochdale 2016 is crowned while helping her celebrate with a four course meal and beer reception from 1pm For further details about any Springhill Hospice events, please contact the fundraising department on 01706 641790 or by e-mail lillie.winterbottom@nhs.net. Rochdale Antique Society Rochdale Antiques Society meets at St Vincent's Hall, Caldershaw Road, Norden, OL12 7QL at 7.30pm on 2nd Wednesday in the month from September to May. Membership is £25 for the season, guests £4 per visit. Always an excellent expert speaker. The next meetings coming up are:- 9th March - Susan Romfitt (Antiques Roadshow) on' Pearls' 13th April - Tony Lonton on 'Old Sheffield Plate' 11th May - AGM followed by John Wyles on 'William Morris, a man of many talents'. Pottery - Classes, Parties and Groups - Norden Primary School with Lissah Hall. Evening Classes 7-9pm Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays £12 per session. Saturdays 12-4.30 available for Classes, Parties and Groups. Have fun, create and relax. The next Advice Bureau is on Saturday 12th March from 10am to 11am at Butterworth Hall. Duncan Hannant, Labour’s candidate in May will also be present to learn the ropes and bring a different perspective to the table. No appointment necessary and all are welcome. Rochdale Inner Wheel Club – 4th Wednesday each Month Rochdale Inner Wheel Club is a women's group meeting on 4th Wednesday of each month at 7pm.They have regular speakers and also raise funds for local, national and international charities.
