Japan said it will ease the rules for issuing<br />
multiple-entry visas to short-stay Indian<br />
travelers from January 11, days after India<br />
declared ‘visa on arrival’ Uto Japanese citizens,<br />
from <strong>March</strong> 1, <strong>2016</strong>.<br />
Under the new visa system, the<br />
maximum period of stay will be<br />
extended to 30 days from 15<br />
days, with visas valid for 5 years,<br />
up from 3 years, the Japanese<br />
Foreign Ministry quoted as<br />
saying by The Japan Times.<br />
The move came once Prime<br />
Minister Shinzo Abe and his<br />
Indian counterpart Narendra<br />
Modi agreed to promote peopleto-people<br />
contacts. Modi had<br />
