The Government of India organized a landmark event
titled “ Make In India Week” from 13th-18th February
2016 in Mumbai was inaugurated by the Hon’ble
Prime Minister of India.
The key objective of the
mentioned event is to
showcase the potential
of design, innovation and
sustainability across India’s
manufacturing sectors in
the coming decade. The
weeklong event offered
foreign investors and
businesses unprecedented
access, insights and
opportunities to showcase,
connect and collaborate with
young Indian entrepreneurs,
business leaders,
academicians, and officers at
the Central Government and
State government levels.
The key elements
mentioned by
Narendra Modi in his
speech are:
1. ndia is open to FDI;
FDI flows have gone up
by 48 percent since our
government took office.
2. Soon we shall be putting in
place an effective IPR rule.
3. Don’t wait. Don’t Relax.
There are immense
opportunities in India.
4. Manufacturing growth is
expected to be 12.6 percent
this quarter, compared to
1 percent at the time of
#MakeInIndia launch.
