token amount of Rs. 21,000.
To be positioned below the
S-Cross premium crossover,
the Vitara Brezza are Maruti’s
initial ever sub-4 meter
compact SUV within the
country.
Unveiled at the Delhi Auto
Expo, the Maruti Brezza
sub-compact SUV is
predicted to be priced from
Rs. 7 lakh – Rs. 10 lakh (exshowroom,
Delhi). At this
value, Maruti’s sub-compact
SUV will compete against
the Mahindra TUV300, Ford
EcoSport. In contrast to
the S-Cross crossover and
Baleno premium hatchback,
the Vitara Brezza are sold
through regular Maruti Suzuki
dealerships across the state.
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara
Brezza is also the primary
product from the Indo-
Japanese auto manufacturer
that has been developed
completely in India from the
ground up by its in-house
R&D team diode by CV
Raman, executive director,
Engineering, Maruti Suzuki. All
the choices and judgments on
the Maruti Brezza were taken
by Maruti’s Indian R&D team
with no validation from the
parent company based out of
Japan. The vehicle has been,
conceptualized, designed
and developed in 3.5 years,
informs the company.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza
are offered in six variants –
LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O),
ZDi and ZDi+ – all powered
by a 1.3-litre, 89bhp, diesel
engine. This power-engine
had been borrowed from
the company’s mid-sized
sedan Ciaz. Transmission
duties are taken care of by
a 5-speed manual casing.
Though, an AMT unit may
also return as a possibility at
a later stage. The vehicle’s
higher trim ZDi comes
loaded with Smartplay
infotainment with CarPlay,
built-in navigation with
Mapcare, reverse parking
