Saddlehurst Barn Cranbrook<br />
The barn located in our grounds was originally used as a store<br />
for horses, hay, old machinery and furniture. A typical two<br />
bay Kentish barn, parts of it could well be four to six hundred<br />
years old, but it had been sorely neglected and was in<br />
imminent danger of collapse. Cox <strong>Restoration</strong> were brought<br />
to the rescue, they had to carefully dismantle the original<br />
oak frame before meticulously reconstructing the building<br />
to standards required for use as a modern letting property.<br />
The renovation took nearly a year and we believe the work<br />
has been done with sensitivity to provide the best of old and<br />
new for the comfort of discerning guests. The building is<br />
eco-friendly having state-of-the-art air source heating<br />
and insulation.<br />
With the much appreciated professional help and marketing<br />
from Kent & Sussex Holiday Cottages, holiday letting has<br />
worked out better than we could have possibly imagined. The<br />
weekly letting brings in a very welcome boost to income and<br />
the barn is a great place for our friends and family to stay too.<br />
We now offer excellent five star holiday accommodation not<br />
only for our guests but also a small colony of VIP bats!!<br />
