Modular 105 ltd
Modular 105 Ltd, specialises in designing and building
contemporary garden rooms. The rooms are manufactured
around an anodised aluminium frame and can be ordered
in any size and window configuration. The buildings are
completely fabricated at their factory and can be painted in
any colour. Their rooms are normally installed within a day,
and can be relocated if the need arises. As standard the rooms
are fully insulated, double glazed and are pre wired. The
cladding is a composite material that is incredibly durable. As
an after sale option Modular 105 can also design and build
furniture for the building if required. An example of a room is
on permanent display at the Flower Pot Nursery in Tunbridge
Wells as shown in the below image.
Potting Shed holiday let Benenden
The Potting Shed is a small Kent barn, once used as the
potting shed by plant collector, ornithologist and artist Capt
Collingwood ‘Cherry’ Ingram and converted in 2012 into a
one bedroom holiday let. Derek East did the conversion. He
began in Feb/ Mar and the Molesworths had their first guests
in the July.
They converted the barn in order to provide a moderate
income – though this is eaten into by the cost of keeping
the property ‘up to scratch’, says Charlotte. “The dear little
barn was in a sad state of repair. It badly needed a roof and
weatherboarding so it made sense to go further and actually
convert it into accommodation for a holiday let. Derek is in
his element doing this sort of work. Most of the time it is no
bother (except for bed-making and cleaning) and everyone to
date has been most respectful of using the garden. We enjoy
people sharing the garden and there is enough space here for
others –having a holiday let, a
small garden would be more
problematic. Saying that, we
have also created a private area
next to the Potting Shed for
visitors with a little summerhouse
where they can be totally
on their own.”
