SUPPLY CHAIN INTEGRATION<br />

SPECIALIST<br />

Summary: This high-impact position within<br />

the Supply Chain that will support the Supply<br />

Chain Team, Sales and Marketing Teams.<br />

He/She will increase selling capacity in<br />

their territory by coordinating and executing<br />

critical internal activities and processes<br />

related to the current supplier base and<br />

new supplier acquisition. This role will also<br />

maintain strategic partnerships with other<br />

internal Plymouth Engineered Shape teams.<br />

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include<br />

the following. Other duties may be assigned.<br />

• Coordinates with suppliers and Supply<br />

Chain Teams, to expedite client RFPs.<br />

• Assists in qualifying new suppliers.<br />

• Assesses suppliers using a supplier rating<br />

& uses that rating to proactively help<br />

suppliers perform at acceptable levels.<br />

• Acts as a point of contact for suppliers,<br />

covering quote or invoice questions,<br />

pricing requests, appointment requests,<br />

and service escalations. Keeps Supply<br />

Chain Teams & sales informed of inquiry<br />

requests and order status.<br />

• Partners with the Supply Chain<br />

Teams, Sales and Marketing Teams to<br />

communicate new capabilities.<br />

• Serves as a point of contact for the<br />

Technical Sales Associates during service<br />

recovery situations or unique client<br />

requests.<br />

• May schedule and coordinate agendas/<br />

materials for both supplier appointments<br />

and events.<br />

• Looks for and defines improvement<br />

opportunities to increase value add<br />

opportunities through outsourcing with<br />

suppliers.<br />

• Looks for and defines improvement<br />

opportunities to improve the quote &<br />

order entry process as it pertains to<br />

outsourcing with suppliers.<br />

• Creates a plan, prioritizes initiatives,<br />

and executes independently and in<br />

collaboration with others, to implement<br />

the required improvements.<br />

• Maintains reporting and actively<br />

coordinates with the Technical Sales<br />

Associates to ensure deadlines are met<br />

for various entries, campaigns, and client<br />

wins/losses. Actively participates with<br />

sales in client acquisition and retention<br />

meetings and events. May also cover<br />

in-house meetings for PES to further<br />

leverage client relationships.<br />

• Manages and cultivates positive and<br />

lasting relationships with clients and<br />

internal PES teams.<br />

• Responds promptly to customer needs;<br />

Solicits supplier & customer feedback to<br />

improve service; Responds to requests for<br />

service and assistance<br />

• Responds to all suppliers & customers<br />

with urgency and professionalism<br />

• Participate in marketing strategy<br />

development, provide data as needed<br />

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s<br />

Degree in business, marketing, preferred;<br />

5-10 years related experience and/or<br />

training; or equivalent combination of<br />

education and experience.<br />

TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER<br />

We have immediate openings for a Technical<br />

Sales Engineer (Applications Engineer) in<br />

our Sales Department, at our Hopkinsville<br />

location.<br />

Position Summary<br />

Works closely with the Sales Team as the<br />

technical advisor. Advises customers on<br />

the technical application of product and<br />

services.<br />

• Visits with perspective customers to<br />

answer technical questions and present<br />

capabilities.<br />

• Uses consultative selling techniques to<br />

assist customers in understanding and<br />

applying technical information about<br />

Plymouth Engineered Shapes products<br />

and services.<br />

• Acts as the main point of contact<br />

for customer questions regarding<br />

specifications and product capabilities.<br />

• Helps the customer determine the best<br />

method/s of producing their final product.<br />

• Follows product from conception to<br />

implementation to ensure customer<br />

receives desired technical capabilities.<br />

• Responds to all customers with urgency<br />

and professionalism<br />

• Participate in marketing strategy<br />

development, provide data as needed<br />

Physical Demands<br />

While performing the duties of this job, the<br />

employee is regularly required to use hands<br />

to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands<br />

and arms and talk or hear. The employee<br />

is regularly required to stand and walk and<br />

occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch<br />
