He/She will increase selling capacity in their territory by coordinating and executing critical internal activities and processes related to the current supplier base and new supplier acquisition. This role will also maintain strategic partnerships with other internal Plymouth Engineered Shape teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Coordinates with suppliers and Supply Chain Teams, to expedite client RFPs. • Assists in qualifying new suppliers. • Assesses suppliers using a supplier rating & uses that rating to proactively help suppliers perform at acceptable levels. • Acts as a point of contact for suppliers, covering quote or invoice questions, pricing requests, appointment requests, and service escalations. Keeps Supply Chain Teams & sales informed of inquiry requests and order status. • Partners with the Supply Chain Teams, Sales and Marketing Teams to communicate new capabilities. • Serves as a point of contact for the Technical Sales Associates during service recovery situations or unique client requests. • May schedule and coordinate agendas/ materials for both supplier appointments and events. • Looks for and defines improvement opportunities to increase value add opportunities through outsourcing with suppliers. • Looks for and defines improvement opportunities to improve the quote & order entry process as it pertains to outsourcing with suppliers. • Creates a plan, prioritizes initiatives, and executes independently and in collaboration with others, to implement the required improvements. • Maintains reporting and actively coordinates with the Technical Sales Associates to ensure deadlines are met for various entries, campaigns, and client wins/losses. Actively participates with sales in client acquisition and retention meetings and events. May also cover in-house meetings for PES to further leverage client relationships. • Manages and cultivates positive and lasting relationships with clients and internal PES teams. • Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits supplier & customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance • Responds to all suppliers & customers with urgency and professionalism • Participate in marketing strategy development, provide data as needed Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, preferred; 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
