What was the interview process like?
Thorough, the whole process is very
intensive, they test you on all of your
attributes – team work, leadership,
presentation, problem solving, data
analysis, and so on. But it’s invaluable
experience for future interviews and
assessment centers.
How much responsibility do you have?
Part of my work is to manage projects
which have exposure to a high level of
business management, projects which
are on the radar of big bosses in the
company. This is daunting at first, but it’s
definitely an opportunity to influence the
business.
“I definitely felt comfortable
and it’s a very friendly
environment – both in my dayto-day
office and all the other
sites I have been to.”
What advice would you give to
students applying for your role?
Take advantage of every chance to show
your skills. Be proactive in everything – if
you see an opportunity where you can
learn, or improve a certain aspect of the
business, take it with both hands.
What do you most enjoy about your
role?
Working with professional engineers and
seeing projects develop from concept to
prototype to the finished product.
What has been your biggest
challenge?
Presenting project updates and
milestones to senior management. It can
be daunting and difficult, but its great
experience and exposure to real life
engineering project life cycle.
What is the office atmosphere like?
Eaton is big on inclusion and diversity. I
definitely felt comfortable and it’s a very
friendly environment – both in my day-today
office and all the other sites I have
been to. I feel very much included in the
team.
@RateMyPlacement Had a great 12
month+ internship with Eaton! It’s been
a pleasure to work with some amazing
people, and the responsibilities I’ve taken
on have enabled to me to really add value
to the business. #EatonFam
