JUDITH MILLER is coming to speak to us on “How to be<br />
an Antique Detective”.<br />
Judith Miller has written over 100 books on Antiques and in<br />
1979 co-founded Miller’s Antiques Price Guide. She joined<br />
the Antiques Roadshow in 2007.<br />
The talk will take place at St Vincent’s Community Hall, the<br />
same as our other meetings, on Wednesday 14th<br />
December at 7.30pm.<br />
This is a ticket only event, £7 per person, obtainable by<br />

An Evening with our John - "The Singing Jeweller"<br />
Saturday 22nd <strong>Oct</strong>ober – St Masonic Hall Rochdale. 7.00pm<br />
for 7.30pm.<br />

Rochdale Ladies Lifeboat Guild<br />
Rochdale Ladies Lifeboat Guild will be holding a coffee<br />
morning which will be held at the Town Hall, Rochdale on<br />
Wednesday 2nd November from 10.30 am until 12 noon. The<br />
Mayor and Mayoress will be in attendance.<br />

Cancer Research UK Quiz Night<br />
The Rochdale and Heywood Committee are holding a Quiz<br />
Night in aid of Cancer Research on Thursday 19th November<br />
from 7.30pm. This will be held at Heywood Sports and Social<br />
Club, Manchester Road, Hopwood, OL10 2AP. Tickets are £7<br />
and this includes a potato pie supper. There will also be a<br />
raffle and bar on the night. Please contact Margaret Ogden on<br />

Heywood District NSPCC<br />
It is to be held on Wednesday 23rd November at Heywood<br />
Civic Centre 10.30-12noon. There will be a variety of stalls<br />
including jewellery scarves and accessories Christmas cards<br />
and a cake stall and a tombola. Entry cost is £3 which<br />
includes coffee and a mince pie<br />
Ripponden Community Christmas Market<br />
Saturday 3 December, 12 noon-6pm, at St Bartholomew’s<br />
Church. Food, crafts, gift stalls; live festive music; donkeys<br />

The Mayor of Whitworth’s Charity Event – Hillbilly<br />

invites you to dust off your boots, chaps and cowboy hats and<br />
saddle up for a rootin’ tootin charity shindig in aid of the<br />
