Christmas Christmas taken care of From festive feasts to overnight retreats, this Christmas, Tuddenham Mill has got it covered If the idea of spending hours in the kitchen and constantly tidying up from the Christmas mayhem isn’t quite filling you with excitement, why not let someone else do all of the hard work this year? Tuddenham Mill has a range of two and three night packages which would be ideal for those seeking a true Christmas break. Check in to one of their Mill Stream rooms or Loft Suites on Christmas Eve and be taken care of right through to Boxing Day. If exquisite dining and idyllic rural settings are your thing, then their award-winning menus and picturesque views certainly won’t disappoint. You’ll be greeted with mulled wine and mince pies and can spend the afternoon however you wish until dinner is served that evening. For those who fancy it, how about Midnight Mass at Bury St Edmunds’ historic cathedral? Then welcome Christmas Day in a leisurely manner as you enjoy a deluxe breakfast and see how generous Santa has been! Tuddenham’s much-loved Christmas Day lunch will then be served by renowned Head Chef, Lee Bye and his team. There’s a choice of Loch Duart salmon, duck liver parfait, squash soup and Denham Estate venison to start, all of which are served with expertly picked seasonal ingredients. For the main event, choose from Norfolk black turkey, Woodbridge pork, Arbroath pollock or potato Wellington, all of which are served with locally-sourced trimmings including, the famous Newmarket sausage, malt glazed parsnips, salt-baked golden beetroot and other festive delights. Those with a sweet tooth will also be delighted to hear there’s a pre-dessert as well as the option of traditional Christmas pudding, bitter chocolate marquise, marmalade glazed almond cake or an enviable board of British cheeses and chutneys. Following your festive feast, the evening will see a range of grazing boards which you can enjoy in their bar or in the comfort of your room. Boxing Day will allow time for you to work off all of that delicious food by exploring the scenic walking routes around Tuddenham before re-fuelling with a divine buffet selection. Does all this luxury sound like something you could get used to? Then how about a two-night break to welcome in the New Year? There’s another fantastic menu on offer, followed with live music and dancing. Wake up overlooking the mill pond and turn to your hangover foodie bag for much-needed sustenance. Brunch will then be available until 2pm with a buffet that evening.
