Motoring dream on... I see lots of sports cars at Newmarket Motor Company, from Porsches, Aston Martins, BMWs, Audis, Fords, you name it. There are however some great saloons and coupés around too which are equally exciting to drive and practical. It would be lovely to have a range of cars for different occasions but that is not realistic for most of us. I love ‘hot hatches’ like VW Golf GTIs. They’re great to drive, safe, reliable and have enough style to be desirable. But there are cars like the Volvo XC 90 which is just lovely to drive. It’s not a sports car but they are lively, handle well and are supremely comfortable, rather like a luxury room on wheels. So what makes us feel our car is desirable is an interesting question, is it how we feel about our car or is it how we feel others react to our car and what it says about us? I would like to know what readers feel makes a car desirable. The other challenge is finding and buying your dream car. We are often asked to find cars for customers and handing over the chore of finding the right car to a trusted dealership makes a lot of sense. We have lots of contacts who can help us to find your perfect car and of course we know exactly what to look for to ensure any car sourced for a customer is the best one available for their budget. This way of buying a car will save you time and money and helps remove some of the risk too. If you are having problems locating the right car for you, please get in touch with me and I am sure we can help. In fact we can find most vehicles, not just cars but vans too. Recently we have sourced Aston Martins, Range Rovers, Porsches, Volvo XC 90s, Fiat 500s and a Toyota Yaris. Finally, thank you for the very positive response to our car club idea.
