Meet the team from GJ’s Salon in Mildenhall to hear about
its endless tanning, hair and beauty services
Celebrating its first anniversary this
November, the team at GJ’s has been
going from strength to strength since their
opening in 2015. Offering everything from
hairdressing, barbering, manicures and
pedicures to waxing, facials, massages, spray
tanning, HD brows, lash extensions and
more, its highly experienced team have lots
to offer. We popped in to meet the team
and enjoy the grand tour.
“We’re a family run salon that treats
everyone that comes through the door as
a part of our family. We have already built a
really strong customer base since opening
last year and we often have people just
popping in for a chat! It’s great to be a part
of something where everyone in the team is
so passionate”, co-owner, Wayne Johnson,
told us.
GJ’s services are available for both men and
women and their chic salon uses renowned
professional brands such as Dermalogica,
OPI and FakeBake to name a few. It also
boasts an impressive range of MegaSun
tanning beds. If you’re constantly seeking
that sun-kissed glow and love nothing more
than a quick nine-minute holiday, you really

Whilst I was there, I was offered a
60-minute massage which was rather
heavenly for a dreary Monday morning!
Promised to heal pain, stress and
other ailments, I was looking forward
to experiencing a combination of their
different techniques. As I laid in the
candle-lit room, the treatment began at my
feet. The two therapists used a variety of
different techniques along my calves, thighs
and feet. As a runner, my calves are usually
quite tight, so it was initially rather painful
but they soon loosened up. The treatment
then continued up to my glutes and lower
back and finished with my shoulders,
neck and head. Each of their massages is
different dependent on the individual, but
the core techniques they use range from
Lomi Lomi, Shiatsu, Thai and deep tissue.
I left feeling relaxed and a little achey, as
though I’d had a really good stretch. My
calves and shoulders felt much looser too.
After being made to feel so welcome by
both Gary and Wayne, I can’t wait to go and
experience a little more of what they have
to offer.
