this manual. Examples include, Heart and Stroke<br />
Association, Canadian Cancer Society, March of<br />
Dimes, or for administrative or operational expenses<br />
of any organization. When in doubt contact your<br />
provincial command for direction.<br />
v. Education (not authorized)<br />
a. the funding of scholarships.<br />
b. the purchase of equipment for showing<br />
Remembrance films.<br />
c. public speaking events<br />
d. honour roll plaques for schools.<br />
vi. Branch (not authorized)<br />
a. any expenses incurred at conventions.<br />
b. renovations of any sort to branch premises except<br />
as outlined in Subsection 403. ii.i.<br />
c. the purchase of medals, including war medals.<br />
d. branch related utilities, expenses and leases, rent<br />
and mortgages<br />
vii. Community (not authorized)<br />
a. donations to community events, schools, youth groups<br />
(except cadets) or Legion oriented programs.<br />
b. public service projects such as donations to churches,<br />
memorial funds, recreational facilities, furnishings<br />
and non-medical equipment for hospital wards/rooms.<br />
