Our ongoing series in which we look at various Indian cities
through the eyes of SpiceJet staffers. This month, Cabin Crew
Shirin Mendonca talks about her hometown – Goa
Connection to the city: I was born and
raised in Mapusa, which is in North Goa.
The best thing about Goa: The exotic
beaches – apart from popular ones such
as Baga and Calangute, the beaches of
Majorda, Morjim and Ashwem are known
for their blue waters and white sands.
I also think that Goans make this state
very inviting – they are broad-minded,
fun-loving and helpful.
Best places to hang out: Goa is very
popular for its nightlife. We have many
clubs such as Tito’s, Cafe Mambo, Cape
Town Cafe, AZ.U.R – The Marriott Goa,
Cafe Mojo, Down The Road, Shiva Valley,
Club Cabana, and so on. If you enjoy

Local attractions: Every tourist must go
to Old Goa. Also do visit the Basilica of
Bom Jesus, Dudhsagar Falls, Mangeshi
visit many places such as Ahmedabad,
Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Calicut, Delhi,
Guwahati, Kolkata and Mumbai. Besides
these, I have also visited Pune, Port
Blair and so many others, but trust me,
I have not seen a place that I could ever
compare to Goa.
