SpiceJet doubled net
profit to `58.9 crore
SpiceJet reported a net profit
of `58.9 crore for Q2 FY 2017 as
against `29 crore for the same
quarter last year, an increase of
103%. Operating revenue for the
quarter stood at `1,400 crore, a
growth of 35%. This is the seventh
consecutive profitable quarter for
SpiceJet.
SpiceJet CMD Mr. Ajay Singh receives the award
SpiceJet received ‘World Travel Leaders’ award in London
SpiceJet received the ‘World Travel Leaders’ award at the WTM (World Travel
Market) Awards in London on November 7. The airline was recognised for its dramatic
turnaround and its use of innovation to rebuild customer loyalty. SpiceJet was the
only airline to be recognised this year. The airline was commended for its exemplary
performance, high passenger load factor and use of innovations such as yoga onboard,
flash mobs and smart boarding technology, among other customer-engaging
experiences. On the occasion, CMD Mr. Ajay Singh, said, “I am delighted that there is
global recognition for SpiceJet’s story. I am honoured to receive the award on behalf of
my 6,400 colleagues, my partners and my country.”
SpiceJet celebrated Children’s Day
On the occasion of Children’s Day, SpiceJet
distributed a Doraemon gift pouch to all the
children onboard and brought priceless smiles to
their faces.
