THE SUPERMOON SAID HELLO<br />
ON NOVEMBER 14, the supermoon – or the brightest moon in almost 69 years – lit up<br />
the world. The average distance between earth and moon is 384,500 km, but on<br />
November 14, the full moon was 356,508 km from earth. This was the closest the<br />
moon came to earth since 1948. There won’t be another such supermoon until 2034,<br />
when the moon is predicted to be even closer. People showed their enthusiasm for the<br />
event by posting pictures on social media, some of which can be seen here.<br />
