‘SANT NAGARI’ PLANNED IN<br />
GUJARAT •<br />
The Gujarat government is planning to<br />
showcase a ‘Sant Nagari’ (city of saints), a<br />
`575-crore project conceived by<br />
PM Narendra Modi when he was at the<br />
helm in the state, to foreign investors at the<br />
Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit<br />
from January 10-13, 2017. The project, which<br />
is expected to come up on 539 acres at<br />
Mahor village in north Gujarat, will bring<br />
together the teachings of Gautam Buddha,<br />
Ramakrishna Paramahansa, Guru Gobind<br />
Singh, Sant Kabir and Khwaja Moinuddin<br />
Chishti under one roof.<br />

AT WORLD TRAVEL MARKET LONDON 2016 <br />
With 42 co-exhibitors and partners, Incredible India put on a<br />
fantastic show at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2016, which took<br />
place from November 7-9 in London. Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister<br />
of State for Tourism & Culture, inaugurated the WTM along with<br />
Simon Press, Executive Director, WTM London (in picture).<br />
Dr. Sharma stated that the government has invested more than<br />
$400 million in tourism infrastructure in the last 18 months.<br />

NOVEL COLLABORATIVE PROJECT ON<br />
KERALA-GULF LINKS <br />
The Trans-Indian Ocean Artists Exchange aims to build<br />
on the historical forms of traffic between Kerala and West<br />
Asia. As part of the four-phase project, Emirati artists<br />
Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim (in picture) and Mohammed<br />
Kazem are currently finishing a two-month residency at<br />
Pepper House, Fort Kochi. This will culminate in a display<br />
of their works at the Pepper House Residency Exhibition.<br />
