COS for Handball: Photo exhibition of the World
Championship in Qatar, TORWAR (24.02.2015)
Shortly after winning the bronze medal at the
WC in Qatar, seven members of the Polish national
team - Adam Wiśniewski, Kamil Syprzak,
Mariusz Jurkiewicz, Marcin Wichary, Michał Daszek,
Krzysztof Lijewski and Piotr Chrapkowski - visited
the Torwar Arena. They were assisted by former
national team players Marcin Lijewski and Artur
Siódmiak, who gave hundreds of autographs and
posed for a similar number of photos.
General sports activities, handball training exercises
with the PGNiG Academy of Small Champions
and educational activities in the field of nutrition
and doping prevention were organised. A photo exhibition
“World Handball Championship QATAR 2015
photographed by Grzegorz Trzpil" was also opened.
The EHF EURO 2016 stand presenting information
about the organisation of the European
Championship in January 2016 in Poland was also
very popular among visitors. The event was accompanied
by a photo booth, in which everyone could
take a photo with EHF EURO 2016 gadgets.
ITB Berlin fair / EHF EURO 2016 promotional stand
in the Polish Pavilion (04-08.03.2015) Thanks to cooperation
with the Polish Tourist Organisation acting
as Partner, EHF EURO 2016 had an opportunity to invite
fans from all parts of Europe to Poland. Visitors
could take part in handball activities, which were
presented by the two-time medalist of the World
Championship Artur Siódmiak. Handball-related
activities and photos in a photo booth were organised
at the promotional stand in the hall. The stand
was also accompanied by the official mascot of the
Tournament and by hostesses providing information
about EHF EURO 2016 and invited visitors to visit the
promotional stand. The visit to Berlin included also
a press meeting with German journalists.
EHF EURO 2016 stand during the Superliga match
Vive TAURON Kielce – Wisła Płock (10.03.2015)
The promotion of EHF EURO 2016 was organised on
the day of the match between Vive Tauron Kielce and
ORLEN Wisła Płock in the Legionów Hall in Kielce.
In addition, after the first half of the match, the representative
of the Polish Handball Federation submitted
a cheque with a gift for a fund-raising campaign
aimed at supporting the treatment of coach
Tomasz Strząbała. The gift amounted to 20% of income
from the sale of tickets to the Christmas Cup
2014 tournament.

Press conferences – 300 days to EHF EURO 2016
(21.03.2015)
On the occasion of 300 days left to the beginning of
EHF EURO 2016, 5 press conferences were held in
Host Cities and in Warsaw in the office of the Polish
Handball Federation. During all press conferences,
the status of preparation for the Tournament
and a plan of upcoming events were presented to
the local media. In the office of the Polish Handball
Federation, the day started with a press meeting
attended by around 20 invited journalists, the aim
of which was to present the status of preparations
for EHF EURO 2016. On that occasion, the office of
EHF EURO 2016 and employees of the EHF EURO
2016 Department were presented. Then the EHF
EURO 2016 countdown clock was officially put into
operation. During that event, a billboard with an
electronic display showing the time left till the beginning
of EHF EURO 2016 was presented.
EHF EURO2016 Zone during the European Economic
Congress (20-21.04.2015)
In the Rest Zone of the European Economic
Congress, an EHF EURO 2016 zone was created
as a part of the dedicated area for the Katowice
City. The stand was organised during the EEC in
order to promote EHF EURO 2016 and to promote
Hospitality zones in the context of the Polish Cup,
the Test Tournament in Katowice and Kraków and
the Hospitality offer during the final EHF EURO 2016
Tournament.
