Premiere of the anthem „Come Play with Us” during the
Test Event in Gdańsk on 8.11.2015

MEDALS
Medals were presented during the press conference
inaugurating the training camp of the Polish national
team in Kraków on 3 January 2016. They refer directly
to the symbols of EHF EURO 2016. On the obverse,
we can see the logotype of the Tournament
referring to the most natural element of handball –
the hand, which in turn stands for the best characteristics
of this sport: dynamism, energy, fight and
thrilling emotions. On the reverse, we can see the
map of Poland, on which Host Cities of EHF EURO

2016: Kraków, Katowice, Wrocław and Gdańsk and
the Małopolska Province were marked.
Medals are 8 cm in diameter and weigh 250 grams.
Medals for the European champions are covered
with galvanic 24-carat gold, medals for the finalists
are coated with Ag999 silver, and bronze medals
were made of patina-covered tombac.
ANTHEM
The song „Come Play with Us” performed by Mika
Urbaniak and Michał Urbaniak was the anthem of
Men’s European Handball Championship 2016 in
Poland. The premiere of the single took place on
8 November 2015 before the final match of the
International Handball Tournament in Gdańsk.
Aimed at warming up the audience and players before
every match, the cheerful pop song is an adaptation
of Michał Urbaniak’s song recorded by Mika
Urbaniak and Victor Davies. Mika Urbaniak, who is
also one of the EHF EURO 2016 Ambassadors, recorded
her own vocal and rap sections and Victor
added a cheering chorus. The final version was recorded
in studios in Warsaw and New York, and during
that time Mika and Victor closely collaborated
with the Urbanator band including Michal Urbaniak
(violin and saxophone), Xantone Blaque (synths and
vocals), Abdule Zhurie (guitar), Al MacDowell (bass),
Michael Flythe (drums).
As the official anthem of Men’s European Handball
Championship 2016 in Poland, "Come Play With Us"
promoted the official EHF EURO 2016 song compilation
under the same title. The album was released
on 8 January 2016.
