(potatoes and rice) and salads<br />

Potato salad can be prepared without using<br />

dressings and greasy sauces, which can be<br />

substituted by low-fat mayonnaise. The potato<br />

salad can be replaced by a garden salad (lettuce,<br />

tomato, chili, black olives, red grapes, feta<br />

cheese and a vinaigrette as a dressing) and this<br />

would reduce the calories of your Christmas<br />

CHRISTMAS CAKES AND<br />

DESSERTS<br />

To prepare the Christmas cakes and desserts, you<br />

can use half eggs with yolk and the other half the<br />

egg whites, you could also substitute refined sugar<br />

with sweeteners like fructose, stevia, splenda instead<br />

of regular sugar. Use olive oil or spray to grease<br />

cake baking molds. Decorate your desserts with<br />

fresh fruits and not with canned fruits.<br />

With the need to eat a snack between meals, ideally<br />

eat a portion of fresh vegetables, a handful of nuts<br />

and peanuts or a fresh fruit of the season, which<br />

can be combined with yogurts. This way we would<br />

be consuming a healthy snack. Do not attend celebrations<br />

hungry, you can eat a small healthy snack<br />

to avoid overeating.<br />
