4.3.9 Final Indicators and Score Card
Following the state consensus meeting, the PI
of the respective states revised the contents
based on discussions and submitted the final
completed version of the SMHA proforma
along with the recommendations arising
from the meeting. The final set of documents
(duly completed SMHSA proforma and the
state score card with indicator values) were
again checked by the NIMHANS team and
data from the final version was used to
refine indicators as well as the state score
card. The indicators thus identified are listed
below and this would form a baseline for all
surveyed states to plan state level activities
for the future. The individual factsheets of
each states along with indicator are provided
in annexure 2 - 13.
However, it is essential to highlight the fact that
despite the best efforts of everyone, data was
not available in some areas as information was
not collected earlier or even if collected, was not
available at the state level. Further, information
from the private sector was totally unavailable in
many areas (health care institutions, manpower,
resources, etc.) due to the lack of information
gathering mechanisms.
