of two parts: a literary element,<br />

STAFF PROFILE<br />

Núria Triana-Toribio<br />

Professor of Hispanic Studies<br />

Núria Triana-Toribio’s research<br />

focuses on aspects of Spanish<br />

cinema and Spanish film<br />

cultures. She has published<br />

widely on areas such as national<br />

cinemas, popular genres and<br />

auteurism and, more recently,<br />

the study of film festivals, film<br />

legislation and film criticism.<br />

Her latest monograph is entitled<br />

Spanish Film Cultures.<br />

She is a co-editor of the series,<br />

Spanish and Latin American<br />

Filmmakers, for Manchester<br />

University Press.<br />

Her most recent work has<br />

appeared in Screen, Studies<br />

in Hispanic Cinemas and the<br />

Journal of Spanish Cultural<br />

Studies.
