The Kent IT Consultancy (KITC)<br />

offers School of Computing<br />

students consultancy experience<br />

while studying. KITC provides a<br />

project-based consulting service<br />

to small businesses in Kent.<br />

Our services focus on helping<br />

companies understand the latest<br />

trends in technology and how<br />

solutions can be applied to their<br />

specific business.<br />

Programme structure<br />

Each of our programmes is<br />

available in a number of formats:<br />

• Intensive – 12 months full-time<br />

• Part-time – 36 months<br />

• Intensive with an industrial<br />

placement – 14-24 months<br />

full-time.<br />

Industrial placements<br />

All programmes may optionally<br />

include a paid industrial<br />

placement of between eight and<br />

50 weeks. The timing and duration<br />

of the placement depends on the<br />

particular employer. We have a<br />

dedicated team to help you<br />

organise your placement.<br />

Programming<br />

Most programmes include at least<br />

one module on object-oriented<br />

programming in Java, depending<br />

on the student’s level of prior<br />

experience.<br />
