AussieTimes advertising may be<br />

paid for byVISA or MasterCard.<br />

A. When statingthat a title (e.g., "Champion")<br />

or a verification (e.g., OFA grading) has been<br />

completed, said certificate mustbe received<br />

by the advertiser before they make such a<br />

statement.<br />

B. It is up to the individual advertiserwhether<br />

or not to listpuppy prices and/orstud fees.<br />

C. When submitting a dog's OFA grading, list<br />

both the grade and the number.<br />

D. All ASCA conformation, obedience, working,<br />

and agili^ title honorary degrees eamed by<br />

a particulardog according to the rules and<br />

regulations ofASCA mustbeverified through<br />

the properchannels.<br />

E. Advertisers mustbewiliingandabletoverify<br />

anystatementimmediately upon the request<br />

of the Editor and/or the ASCA Board.<br />

F. The Aussie Times will publish only one<br />

letterorarticle perauthorinanysingle issue.<br />

Exceptions include: ASCA Officers and Board;<br />

ASCA Appointed Officers; and Times Editor<br />

and Associate Editors. Recognized affiliate<br />

clubs will be allowed one article or letter,<br />

following the regional schedule, inaddition to<br />

theirclub activity report. This does not mean<br />

theyare entitled to a free, full-page ad.<br />

G. An advertiserwho has reserved inside covers<br />

mustnotify the Editor, inwriting, nolaterthat<br />

oneweek(7days) before the deadline ofthe<br />

reserved issue if the cover will not be used.<br />

Failure to do so will result in the loss of the<br />

paid deposit.<br />

H. Letters to the Editor mustbe no longer than<br />

250words. Short, typed letters of150 words<br />

or less are preferred. Your letters must be<br />

signed and include your address and phone<br />

number. Addresses and phone numbers will<br />

notbeprinted unless requested bytheauthor.<br />

The editor reserves the right to reject letters<br />

thataretoolong, libelous, orcontain personal<br />

attacks.<br />

All display ads must be submitted cameraready.<br />

Please make sure your ads follow<br />

the listed ad sizes and enclose the correct<br />

fees. Make your check or money order out<br />

to "ASCA" or "Australian Shepherd Club of<br />

America."<br />

You may send your ad copy via electronic<br />

format. Zip disk, recordable CD. The following<br />

are acceptablefile formats (Macor PC): PDF,<br />

Pagemaker, QuarkXpress, Photoshop, orWord.<br />

Ifyouare usingsomethingelse, pleasecheck<br />

with the Editor priorto sendingthe ad.<br />

YOU MUST indicate on disk, or on attached<br />

instructions, which program/platform isused.<br />

Include all font suitcases and a proof<br />

(laser/inkjet) copy of the ad.<br />

What Issuppliedon the disk is what the ad<br />

will look like. All scans should be at least 300<br />

dpiforphotos; 2400dpiforlineartwherever<br />

possible.<br />

If you are having your ad professionally<br />

typeset, and are sending it as hard copy<br />

(not electronic format), it is not necessary<br />

to haveyourphotos reshot as halftones. Ads<br />

musthave"for position only"(FPO) printson<br />

the ad layoutto indicate properpositioning.<br />

The ORIGINAL PHOTOS MUST BE INCLUDED<br />

with youradvertisement. Please send only<br />

original photos.<br />

Color copies of photos cannot be accepted<br />

nor published due to possible copyright<br />

infringement. The quality of digital photos<br />

submittedon disk or as printoutscannot be<br />

guaranteed.<br />

photos and/or disks.<br />

For those who are supplying ad copy via<br />

film, itshould beright side reading, emulsion<br />

down.<br />
