Job Description<br />

Executive Director Is responsible for:<br />

Personnel<br />

Staff<br />

Established 1957<br />

Supervising staff and conducting annual evaluations<br />

Making decisions on salaries, bonuses, and raises<br />

Volunteers<br />

Coordinating and recruiting - Committees and other volunteers<br />

Board<br />

Serving as a resource to the Board ~ Researching answers to Board questions<br />

Upholding existing ASCA policy and bringing to the Board any issues that are not covered by the policies<br />

Informing the Board on business decisions<br />

Reporting to the Board regarding ASCA business<br />

Developing the Board agendas<br />

General Membership<br />

Conveying mission, vision, and purpose to the Membership<br />

Communicating effectively with Members<br />

Coordinating mediation and dispute resolution<br />

Developing and promoting new benefits for Members<br />

Increasing Membership and Member retention<br />

Enforcing Rules and Procedures<br />

Organizational Maintenance and Development<br />

Identifying and developing additionai revenue sources<br />

Identifying marketing opportunities<br />

Advertising and Public Relations<br />

Operations<br />

Responsible for fiscal budgets and financials<br />

Preparing Budgets<br />

Preparing Periodic Financial Reports<br />

Responsible for day to day operation<br />

Responsible for Corporate compliance with Laws and regulations<br />

Asset preservation ~ Insurance review and Trademark/Logo use and update<br />

Meetings<br />

Organizing and management<br />

Travel<br />

Handling travel and lodging arrangements for Board of Directors and Staff to the Nationals, Spring Meeting and any<br />

other travel that may become necessary.<br />

Required skills/qualifications:<br />

1. Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, non-profit management and or other related field, or the equivalent combination of<br />

education, training, and experience.<br />

2. Demonstrated experience in and/or familiaritywith one or more of the following fields: Fundraising; fiscal administration and<br />

budgeting; strategic planning; program development and evaluation; public relations<br />

3. Demonstrated experience in organizational leadership<br />

4. Excellent interpersonal skills<br />

5. Good writing and communication skills<br />

6. Abilityto work independently with ease and professionalism<br />

7. General business skills<br />

8. Excellent organizational skills;self-motivated and able to work with minimalsupervision<br />

9. Moderate to high degree of computer literacy<br />

10. Personal philosophies congruent with the mission and vision of ASCA<br />

11. Ability to set goals arid meet deadlines<br />

12. Ability and willingness to work with and get along withthe existing ASCAStaff<br />

Preferred Education 4 year degree<br />
