00:20 REGISTRY RULES<br />

Motion hyAi/fox, seconded hy Gray. I move<br />

the following Registry Eligibility Criteria<br />

be placed in Section 1.4 of the Registry<br />

Rules, effective June I. <strong>2005</strong>:<br />

1. Each parent of the applicant dog must<br />

have been registered as an Australian<br />

Shepherd with ASCA.<br />

2. The registration of any applicant<br />

dog, its parents, or grandparents with<br />

any registry as a breed other than<br />

an Australian Shepherd (e.g.. Mini<br />

Aussie) ,whelher prior to the date of<br />

the application or any time subsequent<br />

to the date ofthe application, will result<br />

in the applicant dog being ineligible<br />

for registration in ASCA's registry.<br />

An ASCA-registered dog shall not be<br />

registered now or in the future as any<br />

other breed. Doing so will void the<br />

ASCA registration of the applicant dog<br />

and any subsequent progeny ofthat dog.<br />

Approve: Unanimous.<br />

to create a committee consisting ofAllison<br />

Bryant. Maarten Walter, and Shelly Hollen,<br />

to seek out bids and recommendations for a<br />

Webmaster and to make a recommendation<br />

to the Board as soon as feasible. Approve:<br />

I move to launch the new version of the<br />

ASCA Web site after two weeks time,<br />

whether or not the computer company has<br />

-AGILITY FEES<br />

Hellmeisier. I move to change the Agility<br />

Recording Fee to Fifty Cents (SO.50)<br />

per ASCA titling run, per dog. Effective<br />

September 1.<strong>2005</strong>. Approve: Aufox. Gray,<br />

Davenport. Bryant, Walter. Hellmeister,<br />

Hollen & Stevens. Disapprove: DeChant.<br />

04:05 AGILITY COMMITTEE<br />

I move that the ASCA Agility Committee<br />

be directed by the ASCA Board to develop<br />

anASCAApprovedJudges Programwithin<br />

ASCA. Approve: Unanimous.<br />

04:15 ASCA BUSINESS OFFICE<br />

I move to add a line item to the Budget<br />

called Capital Improvements and allocate<br />

Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) to that<br />

item per year, beginning in <strong>2005</strong>. Approve;<br />

Unanimous.<br />

00:19 BUDGETS<br />

Motion hy Aufox, seconded hy Waller.<br />

I move to adopt the <strong>2005</strong> Budget as<br />

prepared and submitted by Allison Bryant<br />

as the fourth column in the financial data<br />

sheet she gave the Board. The figures<br />

show Income: $770,044.52 and Expense<br />

$739,870.41. Approve: Unanimous. Motion<br />

is approved.<br />

BULLETIN BOARD<br />

The Board requests that all Affiliates<br />

interested in hosting the 2007 ASCA<br />

National Specialty, please have their<br />

applications in to the Executive Secretary<br />

by September <strong>2005</strong>.<br />

April 1,<strong>2005</strong><br />

The meeting was called to order by<br />

President Jerry Aufox at 8:30 a.m. with<br />

all Officers and Directors present. Allison<br />

Bryant was present via telephone. The<br />

ASCA Attorney was also present.<br />

9:00 a.m. The ASCA Board met with the<br />

ASCA Accountant.<br />

A one- (1-) year audit with printed<br />

summation will be distributed at the<br />

ASCA Membership Meeting at the ASCA<br />

Nationals in Georgia.<br />

93:12 STANDARD BYLAWS FOR<br />

AFFILI<strong>AT</strong>ES<br />

Motion by DeChant, seconded by Gray. I<br />

move to have the ASCA Attorney draft a<br />

set of by laws for Affiliate Clubs. Approve:<br />

Unanimous.<br />

00:15 BREED STANDARD REVIEW<br />

COMMITTEE<br />

Motion hyDavenport, seconded by Stevens.<br />

I move that we have a motion that describes<br />

what the Breed Stand Review Committee<br />

has been doing and what we perceive they<br />

will be doing in the future.<br />

The BreedStandardReviewCommittee<br />

has reviewed the current wording of the<br />

Breed Standard.<br />

Ba.sedon this review and membership<br />

feed back, the Board requests that the Breed<br />

Standard Committee submit proposed<br />

modifications to the Breed Standard and<br />

annotations there to.<br />

These recommendations are to be<br />

based on any research, membership input<br />

and information provided by previous<br />

members of the original Breed Standard<br />

Committee.<br />

Once completed, these recom<br />

mendations will be submitted to the ASCA<br />

Board of Directors. Unanimous approval is<br />

required by the ASCA bylaws.<br />

If the Board passes the Breed Standard<br />

Review Committee's recommendations,<br />

they will then be submitted to the<br />

membership for approval. At least 2/3<br />

affirmative votes ofthe membership voting<br />

on the issue shall be required to approve<br />

any modifications to the Breed Standard<br />

per the ASCA bylaws. Approve: Aufox,<br />

Gray, DeChant. Bryant, Davenport, Waller,<br />

Hellmeister & Stevens. Abstain: Hollen.<br />

I move to include a referendum with the<br />

mailing of the election ballots as foIlow.s:<br />

A referendum shall first state the motion<br />

on the Breed Standard Review project<br />

as passed by this Board, followed by the<br />

following questions:<br />

"The Breed Standard Review Committee<br />

project motion."<br />
