Motion hyAi/fox, seconded hy Gray. I move
the following Registry Eligibility Criteria
be placed in Section 1.4 of the Registry
Rules, effective June I. 2005:
1. Each parent of the applicant dog must
have been registered as an Australian
Shepherd with ASCA.
2. The registration of any applicant
dog, its parents, or grandparents with
any registry as a breed other than
an Australian Shepherd (e.g.. Mini
Aussie) ,whelher prior to the date of
the application or any time subsequent
to the date ofthe application, will result
in the applicant dog being ineligible
for registration in ASCA's registry.
An ASCA-registered dog shall not be
registered now or in the future as any
other breed. Doing so will void the
ASCA registration of the applicant dog
and any subsequent progeny ofthat dog.
Approve: Unanimous.

to create a committee consisting ofAllison
Bryant. Maarten Walter, and Shelly Hollen,
to seek out bids and recommendations for a
Webmaster and to make a recommendation
to the Board as soon as feasible. Approve:
Unanimous.

I move to launch the new version of the
ASCA Web site after two weeks time,
whether or not the computer company has
resolved the outstanding issues. Approve:
Unanimous.

-AGILITY FEES
Motion hy Stevens, seconded hy
Hellmeisier. I move to change the Agility
Recording Fee to Fifty Cents (SO.50)
per ASCA titling run, per dog. Effective
September 1.2005. Approve: Aufox. Gray,
Davenport. Bryant, Walter. Hellmeister,
Hollen & Stevens. Disapprove: DeChant.
Motion is approved.
04:05 AGILITY COMMITTEE
Motion hy Hellmeister. seconded hy Walter.
I move that the ASCA Agility Committee
be directed by the ASCA Board to develop
anASCAApprovedJudges Programwithin
ASCA. Approve: Unanimous.

04:15 ASCA BUSINESS OFFICE
Motion hy Walter, seconded hy Stevens.
I move to add a line item to the Budget
called Capital Improvements and allocate
Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) to that
item per year, beginning in 2005. Approve;
Unanimous.
Motion is approved.
00:19 BUDGETS
Motion hy Aufox, seconded hy Waller.
I move to adopt the 2005 Budget as
prepared and submitted by Allison Bryant
as the fourth column in the financial data
sheet she gave the Board. The figures
show Income: $770,044.52 and Expense
$739,870.41. Approve: Unanimous. Motion
is approved.
BULLETIN BOARD
The Board requests that all Affiliates
interested in hosting the 2007 ASCA
National Specialty, please have their
applications in to the Executive Secretary
by September 2005.

April 1,2005
The meeting was called to order by
President Jerry Aufox at 8:30 a.m. with
all Officers and Directors present. Allison
Bryant was present via telephone. The
ASCA Attorney was also present.
9:00 a.m. The ASCA Board met with the
ASCA Accountant.
A one- (1-) year audit with printed
summation will be distributed at the
ASCA Membership Meeting at the ASCA
Nationals in Georgia.

AFFILIATES
Motion by DeChant, seconded by Gray. I
move to have the ASCA Attorney draft a
set of by laws for Affiliate Clubs. Approve:
Unanimous.
Motion is approved.
00:15 BREED STANDARD REVIEW
COMMITTEE
Motion hyDavenport, seconded by Stevens.
I move that we have a motion that describes
what the Breed Stand Review Committee
has been doing and what we perceive they
will be doing in the future.
The BreedStandardReviewCommittee
has reviewed the current wording of the
Breed Standard.
Ba.sedon this review and membership
feed back, the Board requests that the Breed
Standard Committee submit proposed
modifications to the Breed Standard and
annotations there to.
These recommendations are to be
based on any research, membership input
and information provided by previous
members of the original Breed Standard
Committee.
Once completed, these recom
mendations will be submitted to the ASCA
Board of Directors. Unanimous approval is
required by the ASCA bylaws.
If the Board passes the Breed Standard
Review Committee's recommendations,
they will then be submitted to the
membership for approval. At least 2/3
affirmative votes ofthe membership voting
on the issue shall be required to approve
any modifications to the Breed Standard
per the ASCA bylaws. Approve: Aufox,
Gray, DeChant. Bryant, Davenport, Waller,
Hellmeister & Stevens. Abstain: Hollen.

I move to include a referendum with the
mailing of the election ballots as foIlow.s:
A referendum shall first state the motion
on the Breed Standard Review project
as passed by this Board, followed by the
following questions:
"The Breed Standard Review Committee
project motion."
