KNSS YOUTH WING - BREAKING GROUND FOR SOCIAL RE-ENGINEERING
With a 24 strong Youth Wings across all the KNSS
Karayogams in Karnataka, KNSS Youth Wing is in the
process of realisation of one’s self within the divergent and
pluralistic society. The resurgent social conglomeration
under the umbrella of Karnataka Nair Service Society is
becoming a trend setter in the social framework of our
society. Youth Wing Core Committee is in existence for
the past two years. With a firm footing, our Youth wing
re-invented the spirit of service and the joy of giving. If
we started with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan followed by
the Blood Donation Camps and Tree planting drive both in
Karayogam levels and under the core committee, our youth
wing could sustain the momentum through 'Gramodayam'.
‘Gramodayam’: our village empowerment programme took
us to a new world where reality is still that of helplessness
and deprivation of basic needs in the early Child hood of
Children around us, though, bringing changes in a jiffy is
not our intention. Also change the entire world is beyond our
reach. Yet it is our firm resolve that our services, if useful to
the society, we will be there to intervene and bring changes
in the life of our village folks and bring the lost smile on
the face of our Children
Last month we had appraised you about the “Gramodayam’
programme. This month we would like to appraise you of the
forthcoming activities. To start with, ‘YUVA’, Youth Wing
of M S Nagar Karayogam is hosting an inter Karayogam
Quiz competition for the Youth of KNSS. Closely following
is the Inter Karayogam Quiz Competition by Sadashivanagar
Karayogam, again focusing on the Youth. Realising the
potential of channelizing the intellectual acumen of our
Youth, such programmes will go a long way. This is a
reminder that Arts and Sports is not the only recreation
our youth expects.
If the intellectual sphere is measured by such acts, the
creativity of our people cannot take a back seat. Youth wing
is actively considering the conduct of an Art Exhibition cum
Painting Competition. The formalities are being worked

Yuva Youth wing of MS Nagar monthly meeting was held
on 5th of March 2017, meeting started with an invocation
by Heera and Hima. Yuva Secretary Sri. Vishnu Suresh
welcomed the gathering and all Karayogam and Janani
office bearers.The main agenda of the meeting was Inter
Karayogam quiz competition and Yuvothsavam. Karayogam
President Sri Vijayan Nair addressed the gathering,
Karayogam Secretary Sri Devidas guided us on how to
organise the quiz competition for a successful outcome.
Yuva President Sri Sandeep Chandhran welcomed all the
out and details will be shared with all our readers in the
next month. June 8th is the foundation day of KNSS. It
was decided to commemorate the foundation Day suitably.
Indiranagar Karayogam is conducting an Inter Karayogam
Carom Tournament commemorating our foundation day.
Further details will follow shortly.
Sceptics will dub the ‘Gramodayam’ as a bubble in the
air and will burst at any time. No, the follow-up event is
already in the pipeline with a Medical Camp for the local
Villagers where we had our ‘Gramodayam, Programme. A
massive tree planting drive is on the card along with the
School building Foundation laying event so as to contribute
re-greening programme of our earth in a small way.
Let us appraise you the organisation structure of our Youth
Wing Core Committee. Youth wing now is headed by a
Convener who is also a permanent Invitee to the KNSS
Board and Five Joint Conveners spread across the five zones.
We have a nine sub committees overseeing the following
broad activities which is as follows
1) Job Forum. 2) Skill Development Forum, 3) Art and
Culture, 4) Blood Groups Directory 5) KNSS Tech Support,
6) Sports, 7) Leisure, Rewards and Event management, 8)
Grants and Scholarship and 9) Membership
A youth meet is on its way where there will be deliberations,
workshops and Cultural activities of our members. The year
ahead is dedicated for true social intervention and let us hope
that the glory of KNSS will fly across the world.

and things needed to be done before the Quiz competition.
Sub committees were formed with our Yuva members and
assignments were given to each committee. Karayogam EC
members told they would give us their maximum support.
Yuva President gave a brief idea on Yuvothsavam and the
future plans it. Yuva Treasurer Sri. Shabhari submitted the
monthly accounts and got it approved. The meeting came
to an end with vote of thanks by Yuva Vice President Sri.
