Ballari<br />

On 11.3.17 Karayogam organized Attukal Pongala at<br />

Yelumakkala Devastanam in consecutive second year. It<br />

was organized by Thunkabhadra Mahila Vibhagam members<br />

and supported by executive committee members. The<br />

programme started at 10.45am and finished at 12.30 pm.<br />

After the pongala worshiped to the deity, the prasada was<br />

distributed among the members and passers by. 35 family<br />

members participated in this programme.<br />

Banashankari<br />

The 267th monthly meeting of the Karayogam was<br />

conducted on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at its office<br />

premises. Sri MKS Nair, the President of the Karayogam,<br />

presided over the meeting. The meeting mourned the<br />

sad demise of Smt Padmini Amma [75 years], mother of<br />

Sri A Saikumar, EC member and A Umashankar and A<br />

Madhukumar, life members, who expired on Monday,<br />

February 27, 2017 at Kumaraswamy Layout, Bengaluru. A<br />

prolonged discussion was held on the conduct of the annual<br />

family get-together-2017. In the meeting the organizing<br />

committee for the conduct of the AGT-2017 was formed. Sri<br />

Rajkumar B Nair is the General Convener of the organizing<br />

committee with Sri Dileep S Pillai, Board Director, as coconvener<br />

and Sriyuths Ramachandran M, Ramesh Nair K R,<br />

Govindan Nair A, I G Sreekumar, Saikumar A, Shaji N V,<br />

Ananthakrishnan and Jayakumar B Nair, as members. Sri<br />

P I Sanathanan, Board Director, will be the Advisor to the<br />

organizing committee and will have an overall supervision<br />

on the conduct of the AGT-2017.<br />

Attukal Pongala: On Saturday, March 11, 2017, the<br />

Karayogam with the active participation of the Mahila<br />

Vibhag, organized Attukal Pongala in the premises of Sri<br />

Rama Seva Mandali, Vidyapeeth Road, Chennammanakere<br />

Atchukat, Banashankari III Stage, Bengaluru. A good number<br />

of women from the Karayogam participated in the pongala<br />

rituals and got the blessing of the Goddess Attukalamma.<br />

The Karayogam appreciates the services of all the office<br />

bearers and members, especially, Sriyuths Rajkumar B<br />

Nair, Sri Ramesh Kumar K R and M Ramachandran, who<br />

rendered their helping hands in the smooth conduct of the<br />

event within a short notice.<br />

President’s Relief Fund: With a view to help the<br />

economically weaker sections amongst the community<br />

people, the Karayogam has constituted a fund christened as<br />

President’s Relief Fund. Members are requested to donate to<br />

the relief fund in remembrance of happy occasions in their<br />

families such as birthday, wedding, wedding anniversary etc.<br />

BOMMANAHALLI<br />

Obituary: Mr. Sadasivan Pillai (83), father of EC member<br />

Mr. Mohan Kumar passed away in Kollam, Kerala on 3rd<br />

May 2017. May his soul rest in peace.<br />

Dooravani Nagar<br />

Committee meeting of March 2017 was held at 10<br />

am on 12.3.17 at our office. After the usual prayer,<br />

Acharyavandanam, President Sri Srikantan Nair welcomed<br />

the members. Secretary Sri Sethumadhavan CK read out the<br />

last month’s minutes and the same was passed. Treasurer<br />

promised to present the accounts in the next meeting.<br />

On 19.2.17, President Sri Srikantan Nair, Secretary, Sri<br />

Sethumadhavan CK, along with few EC members visited<br />

the house of late Srikumar and handed over to his wife the<br />

financial assistance provided by KNSS Board. Our Board<br />

Members, Sri N.P. Parameswaran Nair in collaboration with<br />

LIC, sponsored 20 mementoes, to MMET and Vidyamandir<br />

School children who secured high marks in each class, ie.,<br />

from Std.1 to 10. This was distributed during the annual<br />

days of the respective schools. Committee congratulated<br />

Mr.Parameswaran Nair. Secretary, Sri Sethumadhavan<br />

CK, donated two ceiling fans for our office. Most of<br />

the EC members have agreed to donate new chairs to<br />

Karayogam office. Committee discussed various points to be<br />

implemented for the development of Karayogam activities.<br />
