From Our Students
Visit to Indian Institute of Science for
“Open Day Exhibition”
Every year our school conducts Science Exhibition
on the National Science Day on 28th February. As
per the agenda, the students exhibited a wonderful
science show. The management was impressed by
the exhibition. To further reward and motivate students,
an outing was arranged to visit ‘The Indian Institute of
Science’, Bangalore. This was an “Open Day” event to
show case its activity to the students community and
the general public on 5th March 2017 between 9 am
and 5 pm at IISc Bangalore. The selected students got
an opportunity to go round the campus and explore /
experience and enjoy the activities of the IISc. As we
reached the campus we were very enthusiastic and
eager to see the experiments and explore the whole
campus. We first came to the main building where
Jamshedji’s statue was seen. He was founder of IISc.
This institute was started in 1909. Every year IISc
celebrates Jamshedji’s birthday as Open Science
Day and this was his 178th birthday. We visited
various departments like earth science where various
The IISc visit was an opportunity for us to explore the
world of science and technology and also to gain vast
knowledge on various branches of science, its benefits,
