Rigging <strong>and</strong> Unit H<strong>and</strong>ling<br />
Before lifting the unit or modular<br />
component, determine the approximate<br />
center of gravity for lifting safety. See<br />
Figure I-PC-5 for assembled modular<br />
units <strong>and</strong> Figure I -PC-6 for split-apart<br />
units. The center of gravity may vary<br />
slightly within the gravity block<br />
depending on unit options.<br />

WARNING<br />
Ensure lifting equipment capacity<br />
exceeds unit weight by an<br />
adequate safety factor to prevent<br />
injury, death, or unit damage.<br />
Always test-lift the unit to determine the<br />
exact unit balance <strong>and</strong> stability before<br />
hoisting it to the installation location. See<br />
Figures I-PC-7 <strong>and</strong> I-PC-8 for typical<br />
rigging procedures <strong>and</strong> proper rigging<br />
equipment usage.<br />
