And we also have a quick trip to Del Mar Race Track & San Diego
– July 26 & 27, 2017. This very popular trip includes bus fare, hotel,
To answer some of the questions we have encountered, we stay in hotels
such as Best Westerns, Quality Inns, La Quinta Inns, Ayes Hotels. We don’t
know what hotel until very close to the end when we know how many will
be traveling.
Your Choice?
By: Dan Hyde / Call to Action
In case you missed it, there was an election
held last month to choose two mayors
and city council representatives for Las Vegas,
Henderson and North Las Vegas.
To say it was shocking that out of a combined voter registered electorate
of 589,177, only 55,867 (or 9.84%) of you actually exercised your right
to choose who will represent you over the next four years is more than a
gross understatement.
What this really means is that most of the public let 55,867 people dictate
who will be making policy decisions that impact all of us. Representative
government?
Are you kidding me? What is so representative of over 90% of you
voluntarily disenfranchising yourselves form the governing processes?
I don’t know of a single person who doesn’t have something negative
to say about those who are elected - and yet, when it comes time to vote
and choose someone new, the vast majority turn a blind eye. You abdicate
your right to choose to the very small minority of voters who DO exercise
that right!
To those of you interested, there is another final election next month
(June 13 th ) to decide several races that did not exceed the 50% threshold
to be elected outright in the April primary election.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND VOTE!
