The embroidery loom:
This technique allows for a large number of identical
motifs to be embroidered mechanically. The lengthy
preparation is done by hand and requires great skill.
Hand-guided embroidery:
A combination of handwork and machine, “hand-guided”
embroidery allows greater scope in the composition
and greater sophistication in the execution of the design.
The needle of the embroidery machine is guided
by the expert hand of a seamstress.
An archive of 13,000 designs
In 1910, Madame Noël introduced embroidery to go
along with lace for the ornamentation of table linen.
Today, the archives contain 13,000 designs and thousands
of tracings carefully preserved since 1883, making
an infinite number of compositions possible. Fruits,
flowers and leaves, wildlife scenes, the ocean life, geometric
motifs inspired by art deco or more contemporary
styles, etc. This fantastic range of offerings appeals
to a loyal and demanding clientele.
