The definite article the can be used the first time we mention a noun
identity is already known. Some examples of unique nouns are: the sun,
the moon, the ceiling, the floor. If you are in a room with only one door,
you can say the door. If you are at a beach and everyone is swimming in
the same water, you can say the water.
The boy who is in the green swimming suit is my cousin.
