CHARITY AUCTION
2017. September 13. 18.00
BUDAPEST WINE FESITIVAL, WINE
PROFESSIONALS AND HUNGARIAN
CHARITY SERVICE OF THE ORDER OF
MALTA JOIN FORCES TO DEMONSTRATE
THAT HELPING PEOPLE IN NEED IS A
COMMON MISSION!
Charity Wine Auction at Budapest Wine Festival became
a traditional programme by now but did not
become a routine. Participating wineries can present
interesting and especially unique items year by year
to guarantee diversity. Thanks to our well-suited online
auction partner, Axioart, it is possible to bid online in
real-time this year as well, which enhances the broad
publicity of the programme.
Only charitable items will be sold and the total revenue
of the auction will be offered to the Hungarian Charity
Service of the Order of Malta.
Last year more than fourty items, 4 and a half million
HUF. Thanks to the generous offerings of winemakers
and enthusiastic bidders we could support the Hungarian
Charity Service of the Order of Malta with the revenue
of the auction. We hope this year is no different!
(Registration is required.)
Objective of this year’s collection:
We have been following poor families for many
decades. We do our job by softening their misery,
easing their pain and keep on learning from each
other. At first only shy smiles, quiet „thanks”, timid
hugs show the changes but over time will be visible
to anybody. It was many years ago when we
appeared with collected musical instruments in
suburban areas and today a wide audience claps
for the children playing music in Szimfónia Program
(Symphony Programme).
The more time we can spend with families the
more chance we have to be successful together.
Within the frames of our newly launched programme
we would like to be with children in need
from conception. We would like children born in
Tiszabő, Tiszabura, Gyulaj and Tarnabod to live
their lives in the way most of us call natural.
We want simple, clear things, which can be immediate
compensations in those children’s life
who have not had these before. We would like to
follow-up two hundered children in four rural regions.
We ask for your help to get started.”
