LEVI THOMAS
Levi Thomas started as an assistant wrestling coach out
of college and loved his job. But when he couldn’t get a fulltime
teaching position, he picked up a second job to pay the bills.
He joined AdvoCare in April 2012 to earn additional income and
to continue his passion of helping others. His approachability and
accommodating attitude, along with his determination and focus,
helped him grow his AdvoCare team and leave both jobs in 2013.
Today he is focused on helping others achieve their purpose in life
and building a life he will share with his future family.
YEAR STARTED: 2012
does being an AdvoCare leader mean
to you?
It’s an honor. I try to live my life in such
a way that others would want to model or
follow. I want to be a good person and lead
by example.
Jenny Donnelly once told me, “The difference
in a good leader and a great leader is a
good leader loves people, but a great
leader loves people when they’re not easy
to love.” That always resonated with me.
What was your approach to building
a network?
I used three-way phone calls and Mixers
(small group meetings). Nothing replaces
Mixers — meeting newcomers in person is
important. When I meet someone new,
I always ask what needs they have and how
I can help.
I’m willing to invest in someone else’s future
without the guarantee they will follow
through. I will believe in someone until they
believe in themselves.
What have you learned about yourself that
you didn’t know before?
I’ve learned to always be open to learning
from others. The more you learn, the
more you realize how little you know.
Because of that, I’m always reading,
listening and learning.
Most of my life I doubted my abilities.
AdvoCare has shown me that I am capable of
so much more than I ever thought possible.
What is something you do to support
your teams?
I remind my teammates why they’re here
and celebrate their victories, whether big
or small. I make sure they know we’re doing
this together.
