The good news for the Neligh-<br />
Oakdale boys basketball squad<br />
is it is coming off an outstanding<br />
2016-17 season, in which the<br />
Warriors finished 26-4 and<br />
runner up at the NSAA state<br />
tournament.<br />
The bad news, however, is<br />
only three letterwinners return<br />
for head coach Frank Gade,<br />
meaning Neligh-Oakdale will<br />
have to regroup for the <strong>2017</strong>-18<br />
campaign.<br />
The Warriors will look to two<br />
youngsters to carry the load, as<br />
power forward Austin Rice and<br />
point guard Cole Belitz will be<br />
relied on heavily by Gade.<br />
“(The keys to a successful<br />
season) are carrying success<br />
forward and stepping into new<br />
roles,” Gade said. “Building<br />
throughout the year will be<br />
crucial.”<br />
