Customer service award
Pyronix won the SOTpay Excellence in Customer Service
Award at the Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards
2017. Pyronix Marketing Manager, Laurence Kenny, said:

School access
At the recently opened Gesher School in north London, a
Salto access control and ID pass system have been fitted
by Delta Security, the London-based installer. The
charitably funded primary school caters for Jewish
children with special educational needs. The access system
lets in authorised users, and enables school staff to print
temporary ID passes for other staff and visitors as
required. The school shares its site with a local authority,
so it is important to restrict access and have a way to

ensure it knows who is on site at any time. Reports
detailing who has visited the school, and for how long, are
available at the touch of a button. Gianna Colizza, Gesher
head teacher, says: “It was critical that the new system was
in place in time for the school’s opening. Delta Security
was able to work around networking issues that arose from
it being a new site, to ensure timely completion.” p
Access integrated
Hanwha Techwin’s Wisenet SSM video management
software (VMS) has been integrated with access control
firm TDSi’s EXgarde PRO access management PC
software application. Via a transaction server module,
access control activity is linked with related video Any
unauthorised person attempting entry into a sensitive area
of a building will, for example, generate an alert and
display images of the incident on a control room video
wall or spot monitor. Other possible actions include the
triggering of nearby PTZ domes to start a pre-configured
tour of the surrounds, and the control room display of the
respective access control point on a map of the building.
The SSM software is for integration with third party
systems such as intruder alarms and supporting specialist
analytics run on Wisenet cameras. p

Installers will have the option of Enhanced Password Control (EPC). This will prohibit the use
of ‘1234’ and other easily infiltrated passwords and only allow the use of passwords upon
selection, the EPC will remove any backdoor user capability and will disable P2P and DDNS
options by default.
