closely than ever with distribution
partners to ensure installers were
aware of how the latest generation
cameras were capable of doing so
much more than just capturing quality
images.
Analytics
The general consensus was video
analytics is able to make a significant
contribution to surveillance systems
when deployed for health & safety
and security purposes or to identify
opportunities to improve productivity.
There was concern raised that there
have been instances of cameras paired
with one of a myriad of specialist
analytics solutions available on
the market, without expert pre or
post sales support to ensure endusers
can take full advantage of
the combined solution. Chris Parry
believes manufacturers need to take
more responsibility and start being
selective with technology partners to
achieve a deep level of integration.
Consultants, system designers and
integrators are offered peace of mind
with the knowledge that the specialist
applications have been extensively
evaluated and tested before they are
approved to be supplied with selected
cameras as out-of-box solutions. In
the end analytics is simply a case for
quality over quantity.
