These articles are written by students from the ESOL Department. ESOL stands for<br />
English as a Second Language and is also known as EAL (English as an Additional<br />
Language). These students are on a journey with their English - beginning from little or<br />
no English at all.<br />
Class 10HA at Mangere Bridge<br />
TRIP TO MANGERE BRIDGE<br />
On Friday 26 of August,<br />
2016 we first watched a<br />
movie while waiting for<br />
the teachers, then we<br />
went off to the Mangere<br />
Bridge Library.<br />
We waited for the teacher's signal<br />
and off we went to the library to<br />
take out all sorts of different books<br />
about what we had been writing<br />
in our stories for school. As we<br />
walked through the book area<br />
there were also people doing their<br />
own work at the library and a class<br />
from another school.<br />
After that, we had lunch in a park<br />
at Mangere Bridge. We had cake<br />
and pizza for our break time, then<br />
we headed back to the library to<br />
look for some more books that we<br />
can easily read in our own time at<br />
home. After our time at the library,<br />
we started to pack our things so<br />
that the teacher could pick us up<br />
and take us to Mangere College.<br />
