S<strong>and</strong>ra Gering Inc. has positioned itself as both a gallery <strong>and</strong><br />
a launchpad for <strong>the</strong> project-focused activities of its roster of<br />
international artists. <strong>The</strong> gallery continues to promote <strong>and</strong><br />
exhibit emerging <strong>and</strong> mid-career talent while exp<strong>and</strong>ing its<br />
focus to include <strong>the</strong> management of activities outside of <strong>the</strong><br />
gallery environment. <strong>The</strong> gallery is located in a town house<br />
on Manhattan’s Upper East Side at 14 East 63rd Street.<br />

Can you tell us about your recent move to 14 East 63rd Street,<br />
<strong>and</strong> how this move is shaping your plans for artists <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> gallery<br />
program?<br />
<strong>The</strong> move to East 63rd Street is key to shaping <strong>the</strong> future of<br />
our artists <strong>and</strong> program. Most of our artists are doing projects<br />
all around <strong>the</strong> world, <strong>and</strong> we consider this space a strategic<br />
headquarters for getting things done for <strong>the</strong> artists. You’ve<br />
seen <strong>the</strong> space! It’s wonderfully intimate with a lot of room for<br />
my team. <strong>The</strong> front space offers intimacy for presenting <strong>and</strong><br />
