The Lyttelton
Rugby Club
hosted the
Norths
(Titahi Bay)
U12’s for the
51st Annual
Lyttelton v
Norths (Titahi Bay)
trip last weekend 9th-11th
September 2016. The
Lyttelton match was played
in warm weather, with the
match being closely contested
until the last quarter,
when Norths (Titahi Bay)
took control and won the
match 39 to 10. The Lyttelton
team took confidence from
the match and trained hard
for the return match in Titahi
Bay the following weekend
16th-18th September 2016.
In typical Wellington
weather, windy and wet,
played with both teams
showing good skills under
the conditions with Lyttelton
having the edge in the
Forwards and Norths (Titahi
Bay) in Backs.
Although,
Norths (Titahi
Bay), with the
wind in the
first half got
out to an early
lead the
Lyttelton team
fought hard and attacked
the opposition goal line for
the majority of the second
half to lose the match 26-10
to a spirited and good
defensive Norths (Titahi
Bay) team. The match was
watched by a good crowd
with 19 Adults from
Lyttelton travelling up to
Wellington to support the
team. A special thank you
must go out to all our
sponsors and supporters for
this Annual trip, especially to
