9- While you make masah with the outer surface <strong>of</strong> your hands<br />
on the back <strong>of</strong> the neck, you recite the following prayer:<br />
Allahumme a’tiq raqabetî minen-Nâr. (O my Allah! Make my<br />
neck free from the fire.)<br />
10- After making masah on the neck, you wash your right foot<br />
together with the ankle bones on both sides three times, inserting<br />
the little finger <strong>of</strong> the left hand between the toes from underneath<br />
them, beginning with the little toe. While doing so, you should<br />
recite the following prayer: Allahumme thebbit qademeye alessirâti<br />
yewme tezillu fîhil-aqdâmu. (O my Allah! On the Day when<br />
feet slip, make my feet stationary on the Sirât.)<br />
11- You wash your left foot together with the ankle bones on<br />
both sides three times. You insert the little finger <strong>of</strong> the left hand<br />
between the toes from underneath them, beginning with the big<br />
toe. While doing so, you should recite the following prayer:<br />
Allahumme tâ tatrud qademeyye ales-sirâti yewme tatrudu kullu<br />
aqdâmi a’dâike. Allahumme’j-al sa’yî meshkûren we zenbî<br />
maghfûren we amelî maqbûlen we tijâretî len tebûre. (O my<br />
Allah! On the Day when Your enemies’ feet slip from the Sirât,<br />
do not make my feet slip. O my Allah! Make my work<br />
auspicious. Forgive my sins. Accept my deeds. Make my trade<br />
halâl.)<br />
Our Prophet ‘sall-Allâhu ’alaihi wa sallam’ says: (Whoever<br />
performs an ablution and, looks skyward and recites this prayer:<br />
“Subhanekallahumme we bihamdike, Eshhedu en lâ ilâhe illâ ente<br />
wahdeke lâ sherîke leke estaghfiruka we etûbu ileyke eshhedu en<br />
lâ ilâhe illallah we eshhedu enne Muhammeden abduke we<br />
Resûluke,” Allahu ta’âlâ forgives that person’s sins, He affirms it<br />
with a signature <strong>of</strong> acceptance and keeps it under the ‘Arsh-i a’lâ.<br />
On the Judgement Day, the person who recited this prayer comes<br />
and receives it’s thawâb.)<br />
In a hadîth-i sherîf, Rasûlullah ‘alaihis-salâm said: (Whoever<br />
performs an ablution and then recites the sûra <strong>of</strong> “Innâ<br />
enzelnâhu…” once, Allahu ta’âlâ registers him as one <strong>of</strong> the<br />
siddîqs. If he recites it twice, He registers him as one <strong>of</strong> the<br />
martyrs. If he recites it thrice, he will be resurrected together with<br />
Prophets.)<br />
In another hadîth-i sherîf, it is stated: (Whoever performs an<br />
ablution and then evokes salâtu salâm on me ten times, after he<br />
performs a ritual ablution, Allahu ta’âlâ removes that person’s<br />
