ELECTION PREVIEW, from page 53
TWIN OAKS
Board of Aldermen
Aldermen-at-large
Tim C. Stoeckl*
I am running for office in the city of Twin
Oaks to serve our residents as their alderman
once again. The past two years have
been a rewarding experience for me as the
city grows and shapes itself for the future.
I feel privileged to have been a part of the
present leadership team and will work hard
to be an asset to the city and its residents
going forward. I take the responsibility of
representing the citizens of Twin Oaks very
seriously. My top priorities, if elected, are
to provide our neighbors with a safe environment,
to work with our great businesses
so they prosper, to maintain our excellent
park for everyone’s enjoyment and to be a
good steward of the city finances.
Jeffrey Lynn Graves*
My wife, Loretta, and I love Twin Oaks.
… We, and our neighbors, want to preserve
and enhance the beauty, safety and livable
qualities of this small town West County
gem. I believe government governs best
which governs closest to its people, in
tune with them and the times. My priorities
include to maintain and improve Twin
Oaks’ beauty, quality of life, services and
safety through citizen involvement and our
competitive bids analysis process; ensure
present and any future commercial development
projects are completed and maintained
…; ensure any future development
of our park, residential and commerce
zones are done to high standards and balanced
to the benefits of our citizens.
Frank Venturella
I am running for office to make sure information
is effectively communicated to the
residents and businesses of Twin Oaks to
keep them informed on city issues and proposals
and to solicit their input. I understand
the needs of the residents and businesses in
the city. I want to ensure the viability and
sustainable growth of the city while maintaining
an environmental master plan and
pursuing all economic development opportunities
and grant funding programs.
April Milne
My husband and I have been residents
of Twin Oaks for eight years now. We
love this little community and the wonderful
things that come with it, unique to the
West County area – small town feel, great
schools, tree-lined streets, a beautiful park
and a walkability typically only found in
urban areas. In the recent year, Twin Oaks
has seen some big changes with new developments
and updates that are modernizing
and moving our city forward. I’d like to
see us continue this progress, enhancing
the features of our city that make it such a
desirable place to live.
WILDWOOD
City Council
Ward 1 • Glen DeHart*
I am running to keep the “wild” in Wildwood,
to ensure fiscal responsibility to
ensure taxpayers money is used wisely and
to uphold the Charter of Wildwood and our
new 20/20 Vision statement.
Ward 1 • John Gragnani
Since 1991, when I moved into my new
home in Wildwood, I became aware that
the only way the residents of the area would
ever be able to protect their homes and environment
was to establish a local government
that was understanding and responsive to
their desire to have input into development
of their own city. This is why I helped with
the incorporation starting in 1991 into 1995
when the incorporation was completed.
Now, there are significant threats to the
ability of Wildwood residents to be able to
speak and have input into their community.
I never ran for city council or mayor all
these years, but I have always been around
to help and promote this city. Now, some of
my fellow residents have asked me to step
up and do what I can to preserve the city’s
vision and the people’s right to be a part of it.
Ward 2 • Ray Manton*
As a 25-year Wildwood area resident,
I believe in open, honest and transparent
government. I believe in adhering to the
master plan regarding city policies on
environmental protection, service provision,
resource allocation, transportation
analysis and land use; and oversight and
adherence to the city charter. If re-elected,
I’ll work to ensure that our city does not
provide taxpayer dollars for private profit.
I pledge to keep Wildwood without a property
tax and to remain fiscally conservative
with all city resources. I will support an
environmentally safe community, promote
smart growth, keep our roadways safe and
continue to communicate with Ward 2 residents
on city matters. I also will support
our local business community.
Ward 2 • Tony Salvatore
Residents incorporated Wildwood – representing
their interest is my highest priority.
I am a man of the people. I will listen
to residents, restore leadership to the city
council ensuring fiscal responsibility and
adherence to Wildwood’s city charter. I
