can positively affect the future is Kate<br />

and Wine category, with her Bien Cuit<br />
bakery located in New York. Wheatcroft<br />
has been able to make use of the knowledge<br />
and skills she acquired during her<br />
year off when she worked on a farm<br />
and in political organizing. This proves<br />
that the right mindset towards a wellplanned<br />
gap year-experience, can lead<br />
to extraordinary accomplishments.<br />
Some Precaution<br />
However, there are a few factors to bring<br />
into consideration before taking your<br />
year off. Unless your gap year is wellplanned,<br />
the risk is that it will eventually<br />
turn out to be time wasted. Instead<br />
of feeling motivated to work hard after<br />
a year off, the risk is to experience the<br />
opposite: the feeling of falling behind.<br />
Luckily, there are plenty of organizations<br />
to help you if you find it difficult<br />
to make the plans yourself. Although it<br />
is rather unfortunate that these organizations<br />
are also aware of the rising<br />
demand. As of how the society that we<br />
live in today generally work, the rising<br />
demand automatically lead to a higher<br />
price tag. This means, receiving professional<br />
help to plan and organize your<br />
gap year usually requires you to be able<br />
to pay for the service.<br />

Taking a gap year can function as guidance<br />
surrounding what to do in life, help<br />
you determine if you made the right<br />
choice of studies, or realize what you<br />
truly value. If you manage to plan and go<br />
through with the gap year successfully,<br />
it will most likely be an adventurous<br />
year with new experiences, friends and<br />
lessons for life. However, if you are anything<br />
like me, with three gap years on<br />
my back and unable to afford doing the<br />
unpaid internship in Argentina you have<br />
dreamed of, but still willing to strive for<br />
adventures, you will have to be patient<br />
and creative.<br />
