Continuing Orange County Public<br />
Schools’ national recognition for<br />
its arts programs, the NAMM<br />
Foundation awarded OCPS with its<br />
designation as one of the 2018 Best<br />
Communities for Music Education.<br />
The award recognizes the commitment<br />
and dedication of OCPS to<br />
provide innovative music and arts<br />
learning opportunities to all students,<br />
as part of a well-rounded<br />
education.<br />
Holy Family Catholic<br />
School officials introduced the<br />
newest member of their communications<br />
team, Suzie Marrotte,<br />
who will serve as the school’s<br />
digital media and communications<br />
coordinator. Suzie’s three<br />
children attend HFCS: Dylan,<br />
fourth grade; Valerie, second<br />
grade; and Juliette, kindergarten.<br />
She has a Bachelor of Science<br />
from Florida State University and<br />
is experienced in communications,<br />
marketing, public relations,<br />
advertising and digital media<br />
management.<br />
Orange County Public Schools<br />
officials released a comprehensive<br />
report on every school in the district,<br />
beyond a single grade that is<br />
based on test scores. The district<br />
created school report cards for<br />
all traditional elementary, middle,<br />
K-8 and high schools. These report<br />
cards provide a more accurate description<br />
of the entire school. The<br />
information displayed includes student<br />
demographics, climate survey<br />
results, attendance, participation in<br />
visual and performing arts courses,<br />
student performance on statewide<br />
assessments, extracurricular<br />
activities, magnet programs and<br />
more.<br />
