ON THE TIP OF YOUR TONGUE
PUBLIC SPEAKING:
On 24, 26 and 27 August, 55 of our
learners participated in the On The Tip
Of Your Tongue Festival held at Curro
Hazeldean. Learners participated
in groups and individually in various
categories such as prepared team,
unprepared team, motivational
speeches, entertaining speeches and
unprepared individual speeches.
This is the largest number of learners
entered by Curro Roodeplaat and
we are incredibly proud of the brave
learners who proudly represented the
school’s name.

TSHWANE YOUTH ARTS FESTIVAL:
On August 23 and August 25, the choir
and the drama group will be taking
part in the Tshwane Youth Arts Festival
held at the Pretoria State Theater. It is
a privilege to be chosen for the festival
as each school must first undergo tan
audition.

JUNIOR CITY COUNCIL OF
PRETORIA GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
QUIZ:
The annual JCC general knowledge
quiz took place on 7 August at Hatfield
Christian Church. Curro Roodeplaat
entered 8 teams, consisting of 4 learners
each.
Congratulations to Robbie Visagie,
Berno van der Westhuizen, Abel Kurien
and Richardt Aust who each won a
cellphone!
