DAVID BECKHAM CROWNED THE
KING OF STYLE
Let’s take a moment to appreciate arguably one of
the best-dressed guests of the Royal wedding. David
Beckham’s most suave appearance caused a social media
frenzy that almost, I said almost, rivalled the one that was
created as a result of Meghan Markle’s Givenchy gown.
Becks donned the first suit from Dior Homme since the
arrival of designer Kim Jones and it really was a suit fit for
a king.
The charcoal grey suit, double-breasted waistcoat, poplin
shirt, satin tie and pocket square combination will no doubt
be recreated at weddings everywhere. Even the often
sombre-looking Victoria couldn’t help but break out a
smile, and for good reason.
KATE SPADE NEW
YORK DONATES
Following the heart-breaking news
of Kate Spade’s passing in June, it has
come to light that Kate Spade New
York has since donated $1 million
(USD) to suicide prevention and
mental health awareness causes.
In addition to this great donation,
Kate Spade New York will also donate
something that money just can’t buy;
a global mental health awareness
day, to be held in both corporate
and regional offices. By doing so, the
company hopes to raise awareness of
mental health, educating us all on the
warning signs as well as encouraging
interventions for those who seek it.
SERENA HITS IT OUT OF THE PARK
Did you know Serena Williams has always loved fashion and
even studied it, despite being urged to concentrate solely
on tennis?
What with getting married, giving birth to a beautiful
baby girl and returning to the top echelon of the women’s
tour, it’s been a busy time for Serena. But this tennis ace
still managed to launch her own clothing line; a collection
comprised of sportswear, formal wear and everything in
between. The direct-to-consumer collection is a result of
Serena’s mission to produce clothing that’s wearable, stylish
and, most importantly, affordable. The collection launched
in May, eight months later than it should have due to the
fact Serena wanted every single garment to be perfect, and
we certainly think it paid off.
