Highlights of 2017-<strong>2018</strong><br />
• By-laws were reviewed and sent to Ed Suddath & Linda Stierle in Feb <strong>2018</strong>. Next review<br />
scheduled for Fall <strong>2018</strong>. Members made aware that MNA by-laws are changing to better<br />
align with ANA by-laws.<br />
• Gave out two MNA District 7 scholarships for nursing students who are dually enrolled in an<br />
associate and a bachelor of science degree in nursing, one to a Harford Community College<br />
nursing student and one to a Cecil College nursing student.<br />
• Provided a District 7 Award with a framed certificate, one-year membership in MNA/ANA and<br />
a cash award to graduating nursing students selected by faculty, three to Harford graduates<br />
(who graduate 3x/yr) and one to a Cecil College graduate<br />
• Contributed to the Arc of Northern Chesapeake region in memory of State Senator Wayne<br />
Norman from District 7.<br />
• Educational programs held: Opiod Addiction & Narcan Use (October dinner meeting),<br />
Workplace Violence video segment from the MNA/MHA forum (February), and Healthcare in<br />
Estonia (May dinner meeting)<br />
