WCA SENIORS TEA PARTY
On Saturday 13 October over 60 Senior members of the community came to the
Community Hall for the annual tea party. The tables were decorated with brightly
coloured table cloths and serviees. Everyone had a hand painted pot containing a
posy of autumn flowers and foliage to take home, thanks to Cheryl for all her hard
work.
A delicious tradional aernoon tea was enjoyed comprising a selecon of
sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and cake, beauful sponges in various
flavours. Thanks to Philippa for the superb catering.
Aer tea the “icing on the cake” was
the entertainment provided by
Graham Pont, well known to many of
the residents who sang a selecon of
well known and popular songs,
culminang in
many people
enjoying a jive.

The Organisers, Philippa,
Cheryl and Rose, would like to
thank all those that helped on
the day and especially our two
young people, Josh and Bethany Dine, who worked relessly with
the tea and coffee pot. It was nice to see the young serving the elders.
This is a free event, courtesy of the WCA, and has now been a regular on the calendar
since 2012. Hopefully many more to come.

Our annual free Family Funday was at Westfield
Cricket Ground on Sunday 2 September when families and friends
enjoyed a lovely summer’s day with a variety of fun activities and food of all sorts.
